Welcome to Eastern Shawnee Tribal Housing. Our mission is to help low-income Native American families achieve homeownership. We assist families by providing education about homeownership, the responsibilities of owning a home, and the steps needed to become creditworthy.
Located in rural Wyandotte, Oklahoma, the Eastern Shawnee Tribal Housing Authority was developed in 1999 and is one of the smallest Native American housing authorities in the United States. We began with 12 houses and added three more in the following years. Seven homes have since been conveyed to their property owners, and our work continues as we create new opportunities for additional families.
We proudly serve the Four State Area of Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, and Kansas and look forward to continued growth that helps more families experience the stability and pride of homeownership.

Develop 40 Acres
Build the infrastructure needed to support additional homes on the Housing Authority's fee-simple land.
Replace Conveyed Homes
Continue working toward new housing opportunities as homes are conveyed to participating families.
Support Community Safety
Pursue plans for a community safe house and a domestic violence safe home.
Expand Regionally
Purchase qualifying existing homes within Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, and Kansas to better serve the tribal community and surrounding communities.
